A complete blood count (CBC) is a blood test that is used to assess your overall health and to diagnose a variety of illnesses, such as anaemia, infection, and leukaemia. A complete blood count test assesses numerous aspects of your blood, including red blood cells, which transport oxygen.

Make sure to wear a shirt with short sleeves or sleeves that can be easily rolled up. Before a CBC, you can usually eat and drink normally.
